I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
